A Christ-centred, missionary and welcoming church
The Assemblies of God were established in Portugal in 1913. According to the magazine Novas de Alegria, the official publication of the Assemblies of God movement in Portugal, there have been Assembly of God believers living in the municipality of Almada since 1948, who used to gather in Lisbon.
We exist to
- Worship the only One who is worthy: God.
- Reach those who do not yet have a personal relationship with Jesus, whatever their location, nationality, age, ethnicity or social status.
- Promote the healthy spiritual growth of everyone who becomes part of our family.
- Serve the communities where we are present (in general) and our congregations and missions (in particular).
- Help develop each person's talents, ministries and gifts, to serve God by serving others.
